BQ4050: 100 Kohm Thermistor?

Part Number: BQ4050

Dear All,

Can I use the battery protective thermistor with 100 K Ohms at room temperature? If so, how can I configure the circuit to use it because the datasheet recommends using a 10K ohm? What are the low and high thermal specifications for stopping the load? I found nothing on the datasheet.

Sincerely,

Luke Nguyen

  • Hello Luke,

We always recommend using a 10K ohm resistor for the temperature sense, like the 103AT-2 NTC.

You can configure different levels to stop charge/discharge depending on temperature, check the OTD, OTC and XDSG and XCHG conditions.

    Sincerely,

    Wyatt Keller
