BQ76952: BQ76952 SEC1: SEC0 = 0: Device has not initialized

Part Number: BQ76952

Hi

The customer design with BQ76952, They can configure the parameters, does it means that the chip in FULLACCESS mode?

But Registers1.BatteryStatus.StatusBit.SEC is always 0.

Replace a mew chip, and supply 3.3V separately, the registers1.BatteryStatus.StatusBit.SEC cannot be set to 1 either?

What is the meaning of device has not initialized yet?

Thanks

Star

  • Hi Star,

There are 2 bits - SEC1 and SEC0. Are they both reporting zero?

If they can configure the parameters then they are in FULLACCESS mode. If the send the command to seal the device, the SEC1/SEC0 bits will change to '11'.

    Best regards,

    Matt
