TPS65051-Q1: Can be used to power AM4372

Part Number: TPS65051-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM4372, TPS65218D0

Hi Team,

My customer is planning to use our AM4372 and is asking if their existing PMIC which is the TPS65051 can be used to power up the AM4372?

Can  you also verify any timing/sequence that may be of a concern?  Customer is also using the PMIC TPS65051 because it supplies the surrounding components in their design like the CMOS image sensor, MEMS, EEPROM.

If not, can you propose an alternative?

Thanks!

BR,
Alfred

  • Hi Alfred,

TI's PMIC designed to power the AM437x processors is the TPS65218D0. This PMIC is meant to meet the needs for power and sequencing of the AM335x, AM437x, and AM438x processors. You can find an app note detailing how to do so here

    Best,
