I have referred following documents so please find my query/comments as under.

TIDA-01352
>> This board is based on LM5030 with push pull topology so noise is very low. It is good design but in my application I am going to operate on 10.8 V Li-Ion battery so Input voltage range is 9-15 Volt but in the TIDA-01352 board LM5030 is used so which will not work on 9-15Vdc. Still if I want to use it then I need to add boost converter and generate 24V from input voltage 9-15 VDC  but it will increase one stage so i need to consider efficiency, size, cost so please suggest alternate solution.

TIDA-01592
>> This board is based on LM3481 Flyback topology. I have concern related to noise compare to Push Pull topology so please advice on it.

TIDA-010057
>> This board is based on LM3488 SEPIC but Watt is too low.

LM2524D/LM3524D
>> For the push pull topology in place of LM5030, LM2524/LM3524 is also seems alternative.

I am seeking expert advice considering above points and requirement of Low noise, compact size, Mid power, Input voltage range (9-15), Vout –50-0 and 0-50V voltage control @300mA.
  • HI,

If you need compact size, you should choose flyback, TIDA-01592. Its input voltage range is also ok to your need. The low noise is designable and you can add a second stage filter at output to make ripple smaller.

  • Hello, Thank you for your advice. Please clarify why not Push pull and why not LM2524/3524 in place of LM5030 ? I need to understand pro and cons of all possibility for the final decision.

For the post filter which filter more preferable ?  Generally Flyback produce noise at input.

  • HI,

If you need compact size, then the flyback is the choice. Push-pull needs two switches and more transformer windings. You can use it - that is your choice. But I would use flyback for its simplicity. Your input voltage min 9V, LM5030 min Vin = 14V so cannot cover all your input voltage range.

Sepic is more complicated than the flyback.
