Hi Team,
My customer is surveying a high side switch, the function as below, does TPS272C45 can support it?
If so, then another question is will we have Auto grade solution for TPS272C45 ?
RTM schedule also at 2021Q3 ? Customer will need about 500~1K pcs samples before Q4.
If no, can you provide your comment which our solution can support this function and also a Auto grade solution in TI?
Thanks!
Kai
Hi Kai,
Sure it's a function TPS272C45 can support.
For automotive grade part, could you ask customer to check if TPS2HB50-Q1 suits their application? Please let us know if anything else we could support.
Regards,
Yichi
Hi YiChi,
Thanks for your prompt reply!
It looks like TPS2HB50-Q1 is almost the same function like TPS272C45 am I right?
I will promote it to customer, and then feedback to you later, thanks!
Kai
Hi Kai,
Yes functionality-wise, they are pretty similar. However, the range of the current limit is different. If customer has a specific needs for lower current limit, we do have automotive parts with different Rds-on that they can choose from.

Yichi
Hi Yichi,
Does we have same function but have lower current limit solution ? Automotive grade is necessary.
Customer just need 10mA Imax, they think if the current limit is 100mA is the best, 0.5A~1A is the Maximum they can accept.
Thank you !
Kai
Hi Kai,
Yes we have part like TPS2H000-Q1 that can go down to 100mA current limit range.
Regards,
Yichi
Hi Yichi,
Sorry, customer prefer separate EN pin.
Their output have different logic.
Maximum OCP value can accept up to 1A.
Do you have any better suitable solution?
Thank you~
Kai
Hi Kai,
Could you ask customer to check if this works: TPS2H160-Q1.
It has two separate IN for inputs.
Regards,
Yichi
Hi Yichi,
No customer need separate EN pin not IN input.
And by the way, does our power switch had reverse current protect inside?
Kai
Hi Kai,
What's the difference between the EN and IN you are referring here?
This one doesn't have reverse current protection built in. Customer will use either ground protection network outlined in the datasheet or a diode at battery input for reverse current protection.
Regards,
Yichi
Hi Yichi,
Oh, so the in1 & 2 is output independently to out1 & 2.
Sorry I didn't noted it!
Thank you
Kai
Hi Kai,
1. Yes that's correct.
2. The current limit of TPS2H160 can go down to 0.25A with 20% error.

Yichi
