We are designing a battery-based soln in which I am using bq24171 as 3A charger IC for my Li-ion pack (3 cells with internal BMS). The IC doesn't support the gauging function.

Alternates

BQ24171 (Charger)+ BQ34Z100 (Gauging) + Battery Pack with internal BMS
BQ24171 (Charger) + BQ40z50-r2 ( Pack manager + SOC).

Is there any alternate or single-chip solution for the same?

Hi Mayank,

You can also consider bq40z60 which integrated charger + gauge. BQ24171 (Charger) + BQ40z50-r2 would likely be the best option however.

Thanks for the response. I'll evaluate the options. Could you also help me with a reason why not to prefer the integrated solution?
