TPS7A7001: short FB to ground

Hi Team,

Customer is asking can we short FB pin to ground?

Competitor like SC4215A can do so, and output voltage will be 1.2V, please kindly advice if 7A7001 also can work like it, thanks.

Hi Andrew,

Shorting TPS7A7001's FB pin to GND will force the output voltage to track the input voltage (Vout=Vin-Vdo*Iout/Iout(max)) so they will not get a regulated 1.2V output.

For 1.2V they will need to use a resistor deivider, we do not have any LDOs which provide 1.2V when the FB is grounded (however we do have many fixed output LDO's which regulate to 1.2V https://www.ti.com/power-management/linear-regulators-ldo/products.html#p182=Fixed%20Output&p451max=1;3&p1154=1.2;1.2)
