BQ25611D: BQ25611D operational questions.

Part Number: BQ25611D

Hi,

My customer had some questions with regards to the operation of BQ25611D for clarifications.

1. What does the boost mode referring here, does it refer to boost voltage from BAT to INPUT? Or boost voltage from BAT to SYSTEM?

 2. What is the REGN voltage when there is no charger applied (plug-in)? they are trying to understand whether this IC provide Discharge under temperature protection.

3. When the datasheet said 92% efficiency at 2A. Is it referring to 2A from input for 2A delivered to BAT?

Thanks!

Christina

  • Hello Christina,

The Boost mode output is at VBUS.

The charger only does protections during charging. REGN will not be present during discharge.

The efficiency is referencing the charge current to the battery, not the input current. You can reference the graph: Figure 8-1. Charge Efficiency.

    Sincerely,

    Wyatt Keller
