I am using a BQ40Z50-r1 4S1P Battery Pack.

In this I have the following queries

1.The CUV set Voltage is 2.75 V per cell. During Discharge when the one cell voltage Reaches 2.75V,The CUV bit is enabled and Charging terminates. After sometime again the battery takes discharge current and then Discharge and Again CUV Sers it cuts off. It does not comes to Complete rest position.

2.During Discharging a err file is created. In that it displays TIMEOUT OR UNEXPECTED ERROR FROM DEVICE for some Certain parameters during logging.

Kindly need some suggestion to resolve the issues.

Hi Anandan,

1. Have you noticed if the cell voltage stays at 2.75V or below the whole time this occurs?

2. Can you take a SMBus scope picture when this happens?

When the voltage reaches 2.75V the battery enters the CUV mode ,and automatically the voltage builds up and the its starts discharging and behaving vice versa.

Hello Anandan,

You can also set the recovery voltage threshold for CUV, it may be helpful for your system to increase the recovery threshold so it doesn't keep cycling lower.
