LM5017: LM5017 for flybuck application

Hi Team,

we would like to use LM5017 to design a isolated power with flybuck topology. But in the slpc017b calculator, we find the LM5017 is not recommended in flybuck sheet. What's the reason? Thanks.

    Hi Hollis,

    The LM5017 converter is the higher current version of the LM5018 and LM5019, so it should be feasible. The correct part depends on the Vin range, Vout and Iout specs.

    Note we also have the LM5180/LM5181 PSR flyback family that may also work (particularly if a primary-side output is not required).
