TLV62569A: The differences between TLV62569 and TLV62569A.

Part Number: TLV62569A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV62569

Hello,

Please let me know the differences between TLV62569 and TLV62569A.

Thank you.

JH

  • Hi JH,

Thanks for your question and sorry for the late reply.

The main difference is that the 'A' version is a forced PWM device.

This means that, while TLV62569 enters Power Save Mode at light load (the converter decreases the switching frequency in order to improve light load efficiency), the 'A' version remains in PWM Mode even at light load (switching frequency almost constant); the main advantage of the forced PWM version is a smaller VOUT ripple, while the main drawback is a lower light load efficiency.

The mode of operation reflects in some differences in the recommended BOM.

Please ask again if you need further support.

    Thanks,

    Stefano
