How to Use Our Own Library Components

Hello JC,

I have a couple of PSpice component libraries in which there are many parts used for power supply design. I added the libraries in as shown in the screen shot. Unlike the older version PSpice, I could not find them after I added the to the design, and therefore, I could not place the library parts?

One example is I could not find an optocoupler in the PSpice library or the Texas Instruments library. This was the reason I wanted to import my own, but I do not know how to do it anymore.

Ruqi,

To place a symbol, you need a symbol library file, extension OLB.

what you show in the screenshot is the simulation model (.SUBCKT or .MODEL).

JC, thank you for the reply. I have another screen shot. I added both .OLB files and they now show up on the left, but I still do not know how to place the parts from my two libraries. In the old PSpice, as long as you add the .lib file, you can see the parts, but now, it is quite confusing.

The OLB files don't go into the simulation profile per my understanding.
