What are your most common packages for your power management ICs?

Please provide additional information as to the design requirements.  There are several Product Groups that provide buck converters, let's narrow down the selection to a specific group.  Note that package type does not guarantee longevity.  Please read our policy on Product Longevity: https://www.ti.com/support-quality/quality-policies-procedures/product-life-cycle.html  .

I recommend you first use WEBENCH to review design solutions, then filter on what characteristics are most important in the design: www.ti.com/design-resources/design-tools-simulation/webench-power-designer.html .  You can then ask any further questions based on the device used in the design.

Let's start with Buck Converters (integrated switch).

Right now, I am interested in the simplest packages (no additional features that would lead to an increased pin count).

What is your most common simple package? I think I have seen 8 pins be the lowest pin count that y'all offer.

I am also just trying to become more familiar with TI's products, so understanding your package landscape would behoove me in the most general sense.

  We don't have a tool for listing number of devices for each package type.  The easiest way to look at this information is to start at the complete product listing: www.ti.com/power-management/non-isolated-dc-dc-switching-regulators/step-down-buck/buck-converter-integrated-switch/products.html .  At the left side of the page, select the Package Group listing, click on each package type and you will see how many devices are available with that package type.  For example, select VQFN, you will see 86 out of 881 devices use that package:
