BQ27426: RM Jump Somehow

Part Number: BQ27426
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: GPCCHEM

Hi Team,

During using our BQ27426 in end equipment, we somehow found RSOC jump from 18 to 43.

SOC at 18:                                                                       SOC at 43:

V=3940 I=1878 TEMP=483                                          V=3936 I=1745 TEMP=477

We found that RMFilter is always follwoing the RMunfilter. and RM Filter jumper cause the RSOC jump.

but it seems that RMfilter should be forced to smooth and we did not see the smooth result from register level.

is there any advise or analysis from your side?

  • Hello Brandon,

    With the ROM based gauges, operating at high and low temperatures is challenging because they do not allow as much flexibility to adjust the configuration.

    What type of battery are you using for this application? Can you check with the GPCCHEM tool if the battery you are using is a good match with the predefined chem IDs for this gauge?

    Sincerely,

    Wyatt Keller
