LP5562: RGB pin function

Part Number: LP5562

Dear Team

The customer had some equation about KP5562, could you help to recommend?

1. For pin R、G、B、W. Are those output level of pin analog signal or digital signal?

2. From table 1. Output current of pin B can be set by register (05h). But during the power on period (VDD is not ready yet, VDD rises to 90%), will the pin B output the 17.5mA(default value)?

3. From Figure 18. The input level of Pin  EN/VCC determines the Digital IO input level (I2C, CLK_32K, ADDR_SEL0, ADDR_SEL1)?

Many thanks

Denny

  • Hi, our expert is OoO since personal reason, she will return and reply you within this week.

  • Hi Denny,

     For Q1: analog signal

     For Q2: Though the register 05h default value is 10101111 but register 02h is 0. So the default output current of Blue LEDs is 0 after power up the supply.

    For Q3: Refer  to the chapter 6.6 Logic interface characteristics.

  • Hi Monet

    1. Refer from chapter 6.6, If VEN=3.3V and the input level of (I2C, CLK_32K, ADDR_SEL0, ADDR_SEL1) will change to 3.3V?VIL=0.66 and VIH = 2.64?

    Condition :

    VEN=3.3V

    VIL= 3.3*0.2=0.66V

    VIH=3.3*0.8=2.64V

    2. For customer's application, Is the external circuit affect to Pin R? whether the application is feasible?

    Before power on, They want to use external circuit to control the LED R of D5 by LED_ON signal.

    A. Before power on, PWR_PG is low level, and AND gate output low level(PWR_PG_LED), then Q6 turned off,Q5 turned on.

    And LED R of D5 will series with R53 to ground, LED R of D5 will bright.

    B. After power on, PWR_PG is =1, the soc will control the led driver (LP5562)

    Many thanks

    Denny

  • Hi Denny,

    For question 1

    Yes, the input level will change with the voltage of VEN

    For question 2

    it looks no problem.
