UCC28704: Unencrypted PSpice model required

Part Number: UCC28704
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC24636

We are trying to design a AC to DC power generator design using the flyback controller UCC28704 IC. The simulation tool used is LTSpice which uses PSpice model files. Unfortunately, TI's PSpice model for the UCC24636 and UCC28704 is an encrypted model. And hence we are getting the simulation error of Too few nodes. Can You suggest any way of solving this issue. Or can the unencrypted spice model be provided to us for the simulation. Also is there any other way of simulating these ICs. Kindly suggest.

  • Hi Isha,

Not all of devices had developed unencrypted PSpice model, I have found UCC28704 unencrypted model for your reference. hope this can resolve your problem.thanks.Unencrypt.7z

  • Hello Jaden Ning,

First of all I would Like to thank you for the response. But unfortunately, even this did not resolve my issue. Now I am getting a different error of "Extra closing curly brace in  "j\par\".

For your reference I am attaching the snap shot of the error.

    Kindly suggest.

  • Hi Isha,

The PSpice mode had been verified by TI and other customers. it should not has some problems.

The simulation issue already out of my expertise , could you please contact the vendor of simulation tool.

If you have any question about how to use the UCC28704, feel free to contact us .

    Thanks.

  • Hello Jaden Ning,

Thanks alot for your valuable responses. I am now able to resolve the simulation error.

One more request. Could you please provide me the unencrypted spice model for the IC UCC24636 also. I would be thankful.

  • Hi Isha,

Unfortunately, we didn't developed the unencrypted PSpice model for the UCC24636. I guess what you are wanted is to verify the behavior of UCC28704, SR is just a diode emulation , you can replace the SR FET with a diode and removed the SR controller . it will not impact the behavior of UCC28704.

    Thanks.
