The BQ25619E has a limited system supply capability. We need to draw about 6A from the battery for short periods (about 200mS). Is it acceptable to bypass the chip load circuitry by connecting a schottky diode from the battery positive to the load? I accept that the current limit feature is bypassed, but we have battery protection elsewhere in the system.
