BQ34Z100: BAT pin

Part Number: BQ34Z100

For BAT pin we are providing converted battery voltage.

I have 2 different application where the battery voltages are  different (48V and 60V)

Can i set the resistors for 60V and still use 48V application?

1. Does it affect the SOC reading?

2. Since the battery voltage is programmed in the device how sensitve is setting BAT pin precisely to battery voltage?

  • Hello Senbagavalli,

You should be able to set it to 60V with the dividers and use a lower voltage pack. The only thing to consider is the ADC accuracy at lower voltage with a higher division. A small voltage change like in your application shouldn't make too much of a difference, but you should validate with your application.

    Sincerely,
