Hello TI Community,
I'm using the BQ25606 Standalone 3.0-A Single Cell Battery Charger with a 270mAh battery and a micro-USB connector connected to the VBUS as charger input voltage (D+ and D- left unconnected).
The VSYS output is connected to the input pin of the IC charger for another pcb that runs on a 110mAh Li-Po battery. However I'm facing an issue at the moment: as VSYS output follows VBAT (minus the current drop on the Rds if OTG function is used) I can't meet the VIN requirement for enabling the charger for the 110mAh battery as a VIN_min=4,5V is needed.
Considering that the battery is only 110mAh, at a rate of 0.5C, a 50mA current will be enough to charge the battery in a reasonable amount of time. I came across this IC with integrated LDO - BQ21062 which has a configurable load switch and power path. But it requires an host controller.
Is there something available that doesn't involve the use of an host? So I'm thinking about a standalone charger that has a Load Switch/LDO output capability.
Thank you,
Francesco
