Hi Team.

My customer now use TPS92612-Q1 in charging the NiMH battery.

the input is 8V, the output current need to be 50mA.

Here are two questions about TPS92612:

1/ Whether it will become very hot when no load connect in the output? What will happen if no load in the output side?

2/ Does the output voltage is equal to 8V-dropout ≈7.5V?

1.No, there is no current flowing through the device.

2. if there is no load, there is no current, so the output equal to 8v

thanks for your reply.

The reason why I am asking this question is because customer use LM3410 before.

When using LM3410 without load, LM3410 will become very hot and LM3410 will be damaged.

Customer is worried whether TPS92612 will have the same problem.

3401 is a dcdc converter and 92612 is a linear driver.
