TL432LI: Why TL432LI support 2V on VKA from datasheet item 10.2.1.1

According to TL432LI item 10.2.1.1 design examples:

The TL432LI can operate under 2V on VKA .

Pls help to why it works, and any requirements need if need the VKA under 2V.

  • Hi Eric,

    The 10.2.1.1 design example is referring to the application schematic shown in Figure 20 in the datasheet.  In this application, the TL431LI is operating in an open-loop setting.  The low state (~2V on the output) is set by the characteristic value of VREF and its dependencies such as IKA, IREF, and temperature.  See below:
