TPS74401: TPS74401 application question

Part Number: TPS74401

Hi team,

could you help to check below question from customer when they using the TPS74401

In our design, we need to test the TPS74401 LDO output current. Because the OUT pin does not have a string of magnetic beads, we cut the OUT pin and the power plane during the test, and then connect a wire in series to obtain the current through a current clamp.
Our application is 1.8V input, 1.2V output, the LDO output current is estimated to be about 1.5A during normal operation.
The problem now is: after the wire is connected in series, the output voltage is unstable, and the corresponding output current is not a straight line, but a sine wave.
What I want to ask is, what is the cause of this problem? We used the same test method before, but the load was about 2.5A, but we didn't encounter similar problems. It seemed to be related to the output load.
