BQ27750EVM-837: In our some products that FET_EN will be disable

Part Number: BQ27750EVM-837

Hello Sir:

We have products which is using BQ27750.

But we found some products return from end customer that FET_EN was disable.

Do you know the reason? or do you have idea how to fix this issue?

I provide our GG file from the failed products for you reference.

Please help to provide recommendations for us.

    Statham,

    The FET_En is a command which will toggle every time it is sent. Could the host system be sending this command? 

    When this command is set the Mfg Configuration register is updates in flash so the next time you boot it will boot to the enabled state. It is possible this register is also 0 (not in your gg file) and the device underwent a reset command.

    Your gg file has a 38 value meaning it is already enabled, sending the command now would toggle the FET_EN off.

    I know that means enabled, but the product returned from customer that FET_EN flag was disable.

    Do you have idea why the flag is off?

    Can you explain this sentence "It is possible this register is also 0 (not in your gg file) and the device underwent a reset command"?

    I don't get your mean.

    If this device in seal status, does there has any way to disable FET_EN?

    Customer keeps asking me this question.

    Statham,

    No if the device is sealed the FET_EN commands no longer work. This command is for production.
