UCC21710: UCC21710: Bypassing OC Pin

Part Number: UCC21710

Hello,

I am using UCC21710 in Full-Bridge Power supply using 2 channel Half Bridge.

The frequency I am using is between 165-170kHz.

As I increase the duty cycle and reach up to 50% on Duty Cycle, it faults.

I am not using any shunt resistor at the source terminal of the MOSFET, and the signal from the source terminal is low pass filtered as per the design recommendations. Technically I assume it is short and should have any potential.

I wondered if there is a way not to use the overcurrent pin and use no protection in my power supply development circuit.

Thank You

  • Siddhant,

Could you please share a schematic of how you have connected the OC pin to COM/Fet-Source?

Tieing the OC pin to COM directly completely disables it, use a 0-ohm resistor to do this, i am not exactly sure how one would use an LPF in this case.

    Best
