Hi,

I am using the bq24751A in my design but it seems like DPM is not working. Is there something I should do to enable DPM on the bq24751A?

Right know when I am charging the battery and the systems turns on the adapter is shutting down. I was expecting the charge current to drop so the system and battery charging are working simultaneously.

Hi,

DPM is automatically enabled if you have a valid ACSET voltage. What is measured ACSET voltage, VDAC voltage? What is your charge current set to? What is measured input current when SYS load is absent? What is your SYS load set to and how are you implementing SYS load?

Take these DC measurements and also a scope capture with the below channels measured:

IBAT

ISYS

PH node

PVCC

Trigger on rising edge of sys load and then turn on your SYS load.
