UCC2808A-1: Auxiliary supply specifications

Part Number: UCC2808A-1

The datasheet lists  IDD < 10mA with VDD at 15V.

However the sink current peak at VOUTA and VOUTB is 1A.

Isn't this current supplied by VDD?

If that is correct, is the average IDD < 10mA because those peaks are supplied by the bypass cap and the average is still < 10mA?

I don't get it Disappointed relieved

I was thinking of using this IC after a offline pfc boost stage with a dedicated low power unisolated buck powering both this IC and the pfc IC. Is that not recommended? Right now I am thinking it should be fine.

If that is stupid I would love some insights!

I am designing a universal VACin and around 18Vout 250W supply and kind of fell in love with the push pull topology. I don't mind using a bit more expensive higher voltage Vds mosfets.
