UCC2808-1: Junction Temp

Part Number: UCC2808-1

In the d/s, the junction temp is 150degree in the Abs Maximum Ratings, but in the recommended operation conditions it specifies the 85degree.

1. I'm confused with junction temp. Which one we need to follow up

2. If junction temp is up to 100degree during operation, what happens? Is device abnormal behavior?

  • Brian,

The parametric limits given in the data sheet are valid when the IC is operated within the recommended junction temperature range, up to 85°C for UCC2808-1. Operating the junction above 85°C, parameters may drift beyond the min/max limits stated in the data sheet but the IC will remain functional up to the ABS MAX junction temperature of 150°C. Is it clear now? Thanks for connecting through E2E.

    Regards,
