LM5039: About LM5309 application question

Hi team,

My customer wants to use LM5039 to design a programming DC source.

The design spec is below. Topology =>PFC+ Half-bridge(600W*2 in parallel). Their demands are PWM interleave(maybe use SYNC function) and SR control.

So, My question is LM5309 suitable for this spec or not? if not could you give some suggestions? thanks

Half-bridge (SPEC)

Module1

Vin=400V

Vo=0~80V

Io=0~30A

PO fix =600W

Hi,

I think you may consider UCC28220 for interleave PWM.

Also, I need SR function. This device can not meet my request.

Hi,

I think single LM5039 would be not enough for 600W. But we do not have reference design on two LM5039 in interleave.

Alternatively, for 400V input, and 600W output, it looks you may look UCC28951 which is a controller of phase shifted full bridge that may be even better than two LM5039 interleave.

Hi team,

Could you help me confirm the feature? Use SYNC function to do interleave.

They want to use interleave to reduce output ripple.

in theory, yes, it is possible, but as mentioned we did not have such design experience.
