Customer is aware of datasheet Section 7.3.1, stating that the recommended operating for external DC bias is to apply 10-14V on BOTH VCC and VIN pins.
They are asking about exception case, whether LM4056 would be able to function under such a configuration, due to other constraints on their system:
VIN: Left open
VCC: 10V-12V (Via LDO, sourced from input of 10-16V)
