BQ27426: RelaxRCJumpOk query

Part Number: BQ27426
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ27542-G1, BQ40Z50, BQ27Z561, BQ27541-G1

Hi sir,

I would like to ask about RelaxRCJumpOk bit of fuel gauge.
Does TI fuel gauge BQ27421 or BQ27426 have this bit ? if yes, is it bit3 of opConfigB?
BTW, may I ask you about what is the purpose / function of RelaxRCJumpOk in TI fuel gauge?
Thanks.
Regards,

  • Hi Frank,

This is not a bit in either fuel gauge. Where did you see RelaxRCJumpOk? I don't think I have seen it before in any of our gauges.

    Best,

    Jessica

  • HI Jessica,

How about BQ27542-G1? it looks like this device has   relex ROSC jump

    Thanks.

  • Hello Frank,

The gauges you linked do not have this functionality, in some of our more popular gauges (bq27z561, bq40z50) It is the relax_jump_ok bit. The bit allows RSOC to jump when the gauge in relaxed mode.

The bit you're referring to is in the BQ27541-G1 though.

    Definition:

Allow SOC to change due to temperature change during relaxation when SOC smoothing algorithm is enabled.

    Sincerely,

    Wyatt Keller
