TPS55165-Q1: Maximum output current in normal operation for VOUT in 5V setting

the output voltage of the device would gradually decrease as the current is higher than 800mA. as the output voltage decrease, the current capability will increase. so the VOUT may decrease to 4.65V until the output current become lower. but I don't think you can see this in typical IC because the output current is just slightly higher than minimum value.

I briefly checked my EVM and found the Vout started to drop at around Iout=1.07A. 

(Vin=3.8V, Vout=5V) 

It seems there is some room for my use case of Iout=0.86A. 

What parameter does limit the output current? 

Is it Isw_limit below?

I would like to calculate if 860mA can be drawn at 3.8V input. 

Could you give me how to calculate the peak load current or inductor current at which the output voltage start to drop?

from 3.8V input, the output capability is 5V 800mA. if the input voltage increases to 860m/800m*3.8V = 4.1V, the device can support 860mA.

Do you have a distribution data of this Iout @5V (800mA min)?

I tested the EVM at cold and hot temp, but the output voltage doesn't drop until Iout>1.1A.

I would like to know how much is the part to part variation?
