BQ24616: PG signal is not getting and charger is ON for 2 minutes and goes off.

its a 4cell 16.8V battery and i/p is 24V and when i connect battery and 24V i/p charger is getting ON and charging started and PG signal is not coming,after 2 minutes charger goes off and again start only after power reset,status1  and status 2 LED's OFF at this instance.please let me know what fault may be triggered in this instance.

    Hi Michael,

      Schematic is as same of the application note,due to security restrictions i can't provide you our schematic,but it is exactly same as the attachment.

    Hello,

    What do you mean, "charger is getting ON and charging started?" Have you verified that charge has started? Also, what is the status of JP2 and JP3? JP2 provides the power source to the LED and needs to be on for the LEDs to function. Likewise, JP3 on posts 1-2 provides power to the power JP2 from VREF. STAT1 and STAT2 may be off because these jumpers are not plugged in.

    While on that topic, what is the status of all the jumpers? JP4 and JP5 need to be on to power ACDRV and BATDRV (JP4) and to enable charge (JP5).

    What is your battery voltage upon plug in? If your battery voltage is fully charged the charging will stop.
