We mentioned that the absolute value of the max continue drain current is 15A at 45C Rja.
Can you help to simulate or calculate if the thermal condition is 70C Rja, then the maximum continue drain current will be how much ?

These numbers on the datasheet are a simple calculation.

So the max current will be a calculation using these equations
Using these equations the Max current would reduce from 15A to 12A as max power dissipation is reduced from 2.8W to 1.8W.

Hi Chris,
I can understand why the max power dissipation is reduced from 2.8W to 1.8W. It is result from (150-25)/45=2.77 ; (150-70)45=1.77.
But how to calculate the Max Continuous drain current ? How to calculate the result 15A & 12A as you said ?

And my customer will use this mosfet as the battery FET with charger BQ25713, the VGS will be 10V, so the Rds on will about 7m ohm @70C based on Figure 7 in the datasheet.
So if I use 7m ohm to calculate the Max Continuous drain current, will be Square(1.77 / 7mohm)=15.9A, am I right ?
