UCC28610: Solving for HF ringing

Hi teams,

here is two items need your help:

1. there is a description:'High frequency ringing can appear within the built-in dead-time between the turn-off of DRV and the turn-on of the HS Drive' in datasheet page16. Any specific data what the dead-time is ?

2.'Gate Turn-Off Resistor Solution' in datasheet Page 17, is that we could use a larger resistance value than RG-ON, so that we could have a better peak current limit ability?

Hi Mia,

1.There is no specific data on dead-time , but I believe the propagation delay of internal NO gate and high side drive mosfet turn on delay constitute the dead time.

2. the purpose of gate turn off resistor is to damping the ringing . proposed value for Rg-off is 0~5ohm , while the Rg-on is 0~200ohm. large Rg-off will has stronger damping effect , but it also will reduce the turn off speed.
