LM5156: Isolated converter from 24Vdc to 0/100Vdc, 10W

Part Number: LM5156

Hello,

I'm evaluating to make isolated dc/dc converter with following characteristics:

MANDATORY:

Vin = 24V

Vout = variable from 0 (near 0) to 100V

Load will be RC, 7-8W

It have to be isolated

IF POSSIBLE:

Vin = 24 or 48Vdc

Vout1 = variable from 0 (near 0) to 100V

Vout2 = 12Vdc (0,5W)

There is a design that I can use as reference?

Thank you

  • Hello TecnoLAB,

    At the moment I do not know about a reference design that we have in this direction, but let me check with some colleagures.

    Best regards,
    Brigitte

  • Hello TecnoLAB,

    Sorry for the late response.

    Please have a look at this reference design: https://www.ti.com/tool/PMP40488

    This is a SEPIC converter, but you could try to do a similar design with removing the coupling capacitor and using a coupled inductor instead of single inductors. Then you are going into the direction of a flyback converter.

    In addition you need to a snubber/clamp to the primary side to control the ringing and a coupled inductor with low leakage.

    Best regards,
    Brigitte
