BQ24600: bq24600 does not work normally, STAT pin flashes, PG low

Part Number: BQ24600

bq24600 does not work normally, STAT pin flashes, PG low.But the flicker frequency is not 0.5HZ,DC power supply current repeats display 0 to set charging current(The charge value set by Viset) jump

What might be wrong in the design?

  • Hello,

What is your input voltage and supply configured as? How is you battery voltage connected? Can you include a waveform of the input voltage, switch node voltage, battery voltage, and charge current?

    Thanks,

    Mike Emanuel

  • The current limit of the DC power supply is greater than 2A ,The battery voltage is about 12.3V.When I debugged, the charging current was changed to 0.8A, not the value on the schematic. If the circuit is disturbed, why is it periodic? It’s incredible.

  • Hello,

Please report the designed sense resistor along with the intended charge current. What is the current limit on power supply?

    Thanks,

    Mike Emanuel

  • Thanks  Michael,

I found the cause of the problem,The pins (STAT  & TS)on the bottom of the component are short-circuited during soldering and cannot be seen from the outside.
