BQ20Z95: compatible with EV2400?

Good day.

Our customer have been using EV2300 on bq20z95 v1.50. They are planning to replace EV2300 with EV2400. Is it compatible?

Are there any software or drivers requirements to use EV2400 directly on bq20z95 v1.50?

Hello Art,

The EV2400 does not need external drivers. It uses drivers that are part of Windows. The bigger question is whether the older bqEVSW that is used with bq20z95 will recognize the EV2400.

Thanks for the clarification Shirish. You are right, this is exactly the customer concern. Will the older bqEVSW that is used with bq20z95 will recognize the EV2400?

Is there any adjustments that must be done to be recognize by the EV2400?

Hello Art,

bq20z95 is an old device. I see that the EVM documentation https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/sluu275a/sluu275a.pdf refers to EV2300 only. I would encourage you to try with an EV2400 and let us know if you have success.
