BQ76952EVM: No 5V on TS2 pin in Shutdown Mode

Part Number: BQ76952EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ76952,

Hello,

I have been playing around with the BQ76952EVM board and i have connected my own MCU to the board to communicate with it. Using MCU i was able to send the Shutdown() command twice to put the BQ76952 in to shutdown mode. As soon as my MCU sent the command, the REG voltage dropped to Zero, but TS2 pin is not pulled up to 5V as the datasheet says when in shutdown mode. (i made sure to remove the Jumper on J7 complete, so that the 10K resistor is not connected to TS2 pin.  I am not sure why TS2 pin is not pulled up to 5V when in shutdown mode.

Another thing i observed is that, my MCU is still able to talk to the BQ after the shutdown() command. So this tell me that, BQ did not really enter shutdown mode, but i observed the FETS and REG's are turned OFF when Shutdown() command is hit.

Thanks,
