TL7705B: What is the input current of SENSE and /RESIN terminals?

Part Number: TL7705B
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TL7733B

Hello guys,

One of my customers is evaluating TL7705B for their new products.

As this moment, they have the following questions.

Could you please give me your reply?

Q1.  What is the input current of SENSE terminal for TL7705B and /RESIN terminal?

Q2. What is the reason of no definition of input current of SENSE (for TL7705B and TL7733B) and /RESIN terminals?

Q3. The resistor values of R1/R2 in the block diagram in TL7705B datasheet were eliminated when the datasheet version was updated from SLVS037M to SLVS037N.

What is the reason of the elimination?

Your reply would be much appreciated.

Best regards,

Kazuya.

  • Hi Kazuya-san,

Q1.  What is the input current of SENSE terminal for TL7705B and /RESIN terminal?

    TL7705B: R1 = 23kOhm, R2 = 10kOhm, Vx = 1.43V.

Q2. What is the reason of no definition of input current of SENSE (for TL7705B and TL7733B) and /RESIN terminals?

I am not clear about this question.  I was able to find the input current for SENSE and /RESIN in the datasheet.

Q3. The resistor values of R1/R2 in the block diagram in TL7705B datasheet were eliminated when the datasheet version was updated from SLVS037M to SLVS037N.  What is the reason of the elimination?

The datasheet format was changed from revision M to revision N where revision N is the updated datasheet version from M.  It may have been an oversight that the resistor values were omitted from the datasheet.  Here is what I found in the database:

I hope I have answered all of the questions to your satisfaction.  If there are no further questions, please click on "resolved" to close the thread.  Thank you!

  • Hi Ben,

Thank you very much for your reply. I understood.

Also I'm sorry about Q2. I overlooked the input current of /RESIN.

The customer wants TI to add R1 and R2 resistor value to the new datasheet.

Could you please add these values at the datasheet update timing?

Thank you again and best regards,

    Kazuya.

  • Hi Kazuya-san,

Yes, we are planning on adding the R1 and R2 resistor values into the data sheet during our next revision cycle.

Go ahead and close the thread if there are no further questions.  Have a great weekend!
