TPS92612-Q1: Availability or alternative?

Part Number: TPS92612-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS92612, TPS92633

This component appears unobtainable.  Lead times I see are 73 weeks.  Is this going to improve, or do I just need to design in a replacement part?  TI seems to be worse than most others when it comes to supply for some reason.

  • Hi,

If you want to solve the supply problem, please contact with the local SALEs team. E2E forum ocus on the technical problem.

For replacement part, we can give some advice. Please tell us more details.

  • (Sorry for the supply question. Lack of availability is frustrating.)

I use the TPS92612 as a 4mA current source in a 24V system with a 3.3V on/off control.  It must be a high side linear current source and must have the ability to turn on and off with a logic signal.  I don't need high accuracy -- 10% would be fine.  In the ideal world, an alternative would be the same footprint, but something even remotely close to size could be practical.  Using a FET or an op-amp or anything else I can find results in replacing 2 components in this solution with ~5 larger components.

  • Actually, no chips has the same footprint in one channel LED drive. if you can accept the different footprint. TPS92611 is a suitable choose for one channel. and If you have many channels, you can consider the TPS92633 for three channel in one chips and TPS929120 for twelve channels in one chips.
