BQ40Z80: Full Charge capacity jump error

It is difficult to know exactly why this is occurring without being able to view the status of the registers at the time this full charge capacity jump occurs. If you could provide a log file with voltage/current/DOD info from when this jump happens I would be much better able to debug this issue. I will however go through the gg file and let you know if I see anything out of place for the time being.

A few other questions,

1. What behavior does the device have in the docking station? Is it fully at rest during these 5 hours or is it charging in the dock for 5 hours to get to 85%?

2. Does this behavior occur when you charge the battery closer to 100%? or just let it rest after 85% SOC is reached?

Hi Jackson,

1. the docking station charge the battery until 85% relative state of charge after reaching to 85% we stop charging and just "siting" in the docking station -thats mean that the system gets his power from the docking and nothing from the battery after 5h we see that the full charge capacity is changing 

2.i didn't test that in 100% 

dod log you mean cell x dod0?

Yes if you could recreate this behavior and log it with voltage, current, cell x dod0, and full charge capacity and attach the log file so I could see exactly what is happening, that would be great.

I will try, it will take time ... I will appreciate it if you meanwhile will go over the gg file .... it happened after 5hours we finish the charge.

After looking at your gg file, it seems that you are charging the cells a bit high ( >4.2V) which can introduce issues if this voltage is outside your ChemID range. Can you tell me which ChemID you are using and also how you decided to select this ChemID? Thanks!

The Chemid is in data memory >sbs configuration> Device Chemistry ? if yes , it's 2064 our battery manufacture put that ..

data memory>sbs configuration>device chemistry is not necessarily going to reflect your current ChemID. Could you issue a ChemID read command from inside BQStudio and tell me the result of that? This should be one of the commands in the commands window.

You can tell if you are in your selected cell chemistry's flat region by the status of the [OCVFR] bit. This will be 0 if your current cell voltage is outside the flat region.
