Need to select a current source chip

Hi, support team

My customer has the questions as follow:

1. I need to select a current source chip
    current 3A
    input voltage 24V

2. What are the methods to adjust current?
    I know PWM.
    In addition to PWM, what else?
    Because PWM needs to be sent by MCU, is there a way to adjust current without MCU.

3. I have used TPS61194 and 8867 chips before.
    This chip is a current source.
    It is said in the datasheet that it is specially used to drive LED.
    Can this chip be used for other loads? Such as a thermoelectric cooler?

4. I need the current source with reverse function. (About question 1)
    Is there such a chip?
    If not, can I add a full bridge at the output of the current source chip?

    Supplementary question：

    The reverse current can control heating/cooling's reverse of the thermoelectric cooler.
    and the current value can control the output power.
    Please recommend a current source chip and a full bridge driver chip for me.

    I am not sure what's your customer's need about this current source.

    1. one channel or multiple channels?

    2.the output voltage?

    3.if you want to change the current without, how many step you want to change the current and how to trigger the change signal?

    i can't help you only with your input.
