UCC5350: Do we have similar features with IFX's input pulse suppression?

Part Number: UCC5350

Hi team,

My customer is going to replace IFX's 1EDI40I12AF with our UCC5350.

They have a question regarding the IFX's feature input pulse suppression, as shown in IFX's datasheet.

Can you help advise what this feature is, and do we have any similar features?

Regards,

Xiaoying

  • Hi, Xiaoying,

There is a low-pass filter inside the IC on the input pins. The purpose for this is it keeps noise from false triggering the gate driver.

Our UCC5350 has a similar low-pass filter on the inputs. It will reject noise below 10 ns. If this is not enough for the customer, they can add an external low-pass filter as described in section 11.2.2.1 Designing IN+ and IN– Input Filter of the datasheet to match the corner frequency of the Infineon device.

Let me know if you have further questions, otherwise, please press the Green button.

    Best regards,

    Don
