Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ79616, USB2ANY, LAUNCHXL2-TMS57012
Hello,
we are testing HV-Battery systems that works with SPI Daisy Chain modules from Texas Instruments.
Currently we are using the TI BQ79600 Evaluation Module with GUI to get the cell voltages and temperatures from the TI BQ79616 Boards.
We want to connect the BQ79616 Boards with a Testbench that simulates the Battery Management Controller. So that we can directly read the cell voltages and temperatures in our Testbench and send commands to the BQ79616 Boards.
We are planning to use a TI BQ79600 Evaluation Module for this, but because I didn’t find an interface for the GUI to communicate with the outside world I suppose, that the GUI can’t be used for that, correct?
It is a good way to use a TI BQ79600 Evaluation Module for this. Or didn’t that save time and any SPI master could do the same?
I suppose that the SPI/ UART interface of the BQ79600 Evaluation Module can be used to communicate with the Testbench and that the BQ79600 Evaluation Module accepts SPI and UART mode or USB via USB2ANY adapter, correct?
What communication protocol must be used, we need a definition?
According to the BQ79600 Evaluation Module manual there are example code for the communication with a LAUNCHXL2-TMS57012 LaunchPad board.
Are there example code for a direct communication with the BQ79600 Evaluation Module?
Are there a SW or HW solution from TI that can be used to communicate to the outside world, or do need we program a custom interface?
Is the Code composer Studio needed for this task or is it just for the integration of other Ti_Boards to the BQ79600 Evaluation Module.
There do I get the Code composer Studio If needed, is it a freeware?
There do I get the example code for the communication with a LAUNCHXL2-TMS57012 LaunchPad board?
Thanks in advance and sorry if some questions are foolish. I am new on this Topic
