Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28019A
Hi team,
Do we have any PFC controller could directly replace UCC28180? if not, is there any similar recommendation? Thanks.

Hi, Yuting
there is no pin-pin replacement for UCC28180. the similar solution is UCC28019A.

Hi Yunsheng,
Thanks for your sharing.
Customer also wants to know the performance of both devices. Is UCC28180 has better iTHD performance because it has trimmed current loop?
If using external OCP, can customer use the same Rsense (3mΩ) for UCC28180 or UCC28019A? The power is about 3kW. Is there anything customer should care about when replacing UCC28180 to UCC28019A? Thanks.
Hi, Yuting
1. yes, UCC28180 has better iTHD than UCC28019A. because UCC28180 is upgrade version of UCC28019A. trimmed current loop is major method to achieve better iTHD.
2. It is recommended to design Rsense based on OCP threshold of UCC28019A, becase ISENSE signal is not only for OCP, it also be used in current feedback.
3. beside Rsense, pin4 of UCC28019A should be configured as brown-in/out function.
The most important point: you should make sure UCC28019A can be purchased or not, since there is shortage issue for many parts.
