  • Hi,

Can you describe more what you mean by the cell aging study is unsuccessful? I am not sure I understand.

If you can provide a log file and a description of the behavior it would be helpful. I noticed from your register settings, that the gauging parameters are all set to the default values. If you want to set up the device for accurate gauging, you need to go through the steps in the Gas Gauging section of the "Using the BQ78350-R1" application document.

    Best regards,

    Matt

  • Dear Matt:

Cell aging study means cell aging compensation that device can modify parameter to achieve accurate gauging when the the battery has been used for a while.

  • Understood. For this, you need to go through the steps in the Gas Gauging section of the Using the BQ78350-R1 document: https://www.ti.com/lit/an/slua924/slua924.pdf The Learned Full Charge Capacity will be updated after a full discharge cycle. This value will decrease as the capacity decreases as the battery ages.
