We have been using this gas guage for a while now to manage our batteries but we are starting to see some examples where a battery will never reach 100% charge. Is there a way we can reprogram the gauge to see a different learned or max capacitance to then allow it to fully charge to 100%?

The QMax parameter should automatically be learning the battery's capacity over time. Are you saying here that RSOC is never reaching 100%?
Also if you could send me a log file so I can see more specific details on your chg-relax-dsg-relax cycle that would be great. Also a your .gg file would be very helpful so I know what you have the settings configured to. Lastly, if you could tell me what ChemID you are using for your battery that will probably end up being useful.

Yeah so i'm reading from the SOC register (0x02) and its reading out a value of 99% however the battery is not drawing anymore current and trying to charge any further. I can attach the .gg file of one of the available batteries I have but its worth mentioning this specific battery has not seen the fault, however the configuration should be the same. I have also attached a log but I'm not entirely sure if this is what you mean so please let me know if not. When reading the ChemId from the gauge I get a hex value returned of 0x2012 3771.DataMemory.gg.csv.

Thanks for providing this info. For the log file I am actually going to need to see a full chg-relax-dsg-relax cycle to fully debug this issue. In the file you provided, RemCap was 0 which would result in 0% RSOC. There is also no charging or discharging occurring. The reason I need the chg-relax-dsg-relax is because I am trying to see how your DOD, RemCap, FCC and QMax parameters change over time. I am not sure how you collected this log but if you could follow the following steps and provide another I should be able to find a root cause.
1. Click Start Log on the top of the registers tab of BQStudio
2. Begin Charging the device until full.
3. Relax for >2Hrs (this is so the dv/dt condition for a QMax update will be satisfied)
4. Discharge until empty (FD bit is set)
5. Relax- for >5 Hr
Then if you could provide me with the resulting log from this cycle I can hopefully get back to you with a fix!
