TPS6594-Q1: Should GPIO9 of TPS65941212 connect to GND in PDN-0B

Part Number: TPS6594-Q1

Hi team,

Should GPIO9 of TPS65941212 connect to GND in PDN-0B? According to the datasheet, all the unused GPI pins should be connected to GND. But in PDN-0Bm it is floating. If it is used as an unused GPIO to support a new function, any usage suggestion for this pin? Thank you very much!

  • Hi, Lijia,

Since its NVM sets it as a GPI and its internal PU or PD resistor disabled; it's better to tie it to GND or VDDIO if it's not used. Application can use the GPIO as the application needed; like any other GPIO from the PMIC.

    Thanks!
