Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UC2825, UC2825B, UC2825A
Hi team,
Is it ok to replace UC28025 by uc2825, uc2825A, uc2825B? What is the different between these devices? Thanks.

For starters, the UC28025 is rated over a higher temperature range: -40C to 105C versus -40C to 85C.
There are many differences: UC2825 is the oldest part. UC2825A/B were improved versions of the UC2825. Finally, UC28025 was produced as a lower cost version.
I spent about 2 hours comparing the data sheets and compiling a table showing as many of the differences as I could find in the EC tables. I believe I captured all the major differences, but there could be 1 or 2 that I missed. Please see attached PDF file.
To summarize, the UC28025 could probably be replaced by the older UC2825. The UC2825A version has lower voltage rating (22V vs 30V), different OC thresholds (1.2V vs 1.4V), a different startup current (100uA vs 1.1mA), and a different soft start charge current (14uA vs 9uA). The UC2825B has all the same differences as the UC2825A plus the UVLO Start/Stop voltages are much higher.
