TPS92200: Laser Diode Driver for red and infra-red waves.

Please provide more detailed spec requirements, such as input voltage range, PWM signal frequency and so on.

BTW, does the 3 red and 3 infra-red need separate control which means each LED is on/off independently?

Hi Robin,

This is supposed to be a hand held device, so it is battery powered. I was gonna figure out the actual power consumption first and then choose the battery.

2 reds start operating separately and the third red diode would start running separately in addition to the other two if and only if more optical power dosage was prescribed.

Same story with infra-red. 

So I might say one driver for two red diodes and one driver for the third red diode and the same for infra-red unless you have a better idea.

TPS92200 is our latest buck LED driver with high efficiency and high duty cycle, which is friendly to batter power.

How do you achieve the first two red LED to be controlled separately? This may be related with if TPS92200 can work normally.

I was thinking about having separate drivers for each LED or using Multi channel driver for controlling the first two LED.  

TPS92200 is out of stock, what do you recommend as an alternative ? Also what could be a good option for multi channel driver, that is of course not out of stock.

 While searching for driver chips, I came across LM3405A. which one do you think best fit my application ? LM3405A or TPS54200

Each laser diode, that I'm gonna use, has almost 800mA operating current. In order to avoid using several drivers, is there a multi channel version of TPS54200 so that I can save more space by implementing only one driver ?

I need to learn more about different converter topologies. Buck, Boost, and etc . and I am quite a beginner.
